Rain was falling when we reached the beach this morning. It was grey and misty and just a bit cool.
20 Minutes Exercise
We pulled on jumpers and raincoats with our shorts and thongs and headed out down the beach. Not another soul in sight on this bleak but beautiful morning.
Beautiful displays of intricate weed from the ocean floor were once again being left by the outgoing tide. They are so delicate and as the wind dries them out they blow down the beach like tumble weeds.
The tide was gushing way up the beach and had started creating pools that were holding water and which the Giant had to wade in as Giants do!!
The weather threw the rain down and by the time we got to the third rock shelf (all rock shelves being completely impassable with out climbing up the rock wall.) the sea was in turmoil and it was quite a sight to behold.
By the time we turned to head back the water was running down my legs from the rain and the ocean felt really warm on my feet.
Yet again we were blessed with a gift of nature for our efforts in walking the beach this morning. As the sun peaked through a huge rainbow appeared as if to say thank you for coming do come again!!
20 Minutes Learning.
My least favourite kind of learning was on the agenda today. Computer stuff!! I use it and I appreciate it but I don’t enjoy it. The only joyful thing I use the computer for is writing and creating this blog so for that I am grateful.
20 Minutes Planning.
Food… It takes up so much of our headspace, time and resources. It is not something we can say ‘oh well lets just give that a miss for the next couple of weeks’ well not with any real resolve. So today was all about preparing meals in advance and planning other meals.
Chilli honey chicken was on the prep list for this morning although my two tablespoons of chilli may come back to bit me later in the day.
The other thing on the list of food stuff is Sweet Potato Brownies.. As I live a gluten free life due to medical conditions I am always on the look out for something a little different. So for those of you willing to try something different here is the recipe.
Preheat oven to 180C and line a 8×8 tin with baking paper.
2 medium sweet potatoes peeled chopped and boiled for 5 mins.
Put in a blender with:
1/4 cup raw cacao
1 and 1/4 cups ground almonds
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup chopped dates
Pinch of salt.
Blend till smooth. Pour into tin and bake for 25 mins.
Cool before attacking… Good luck and enjoy.
Salivating in anticipation. Peace and light Ali xxx
